On Top Of the Sears Tower

Post by Bravo57 »

Sometimes my job can be pretty cool.

I had to go with a couple of my Supervisors to the Sears Tower to check out a couple of transformers. Of course, we went to the observation deck with the building electrician (to ummm check stuff), He looks at me and asks, "you want to go on the roof?". Let me thnk, the second tallest building in the world, the tallest in the U.S.A.......... YOU BET YOUR FUCKING ASS!

If this is in the wrong spot, sorry, just move it or whatever.

That'd be one hell of a base jump! :D

Awesome!! That's a loooooong way down. Has anybody base jumped from that roof?

I punched "base jumping the Sears tower" into Google but didn't get any hits.

Great photos!!

Thanks all.... As for BASE jumping, Last year, one dude did it (sccessfully) and the building Maintenance guy got fired for letting him up there. The dude who jumped, was "Hired" on to the team like 1 week before the jump. You will probably never hear about it in the news, If people hear about it, they will want to do it.

That would be a kick ass ride. The one thing you would fight is the wind. It was @ 45MPH while we were up there. Pretty good swirling effect.

Just glad I didn't drop the camera.

Neat pics! Of course, Jackie Chan could just leap off the roof, land on that lower ledge, and do a few ninja cartwheels... That third pic could be a postcard!
