With the ACU and the DA message authorizing the wear of desert boots with BDUs are there plans to authorize desert boots at Ranger School.

With the ACU and the DA message authorizing the wear of desert boots with BDUs are there plans to authorize desert boots at Ranger School.

As the Army authorizations change...so does the packing list. I doubt desert boots will be authorized prior to full fielding of the ACU

We just sent a guy to Pre-Ranger last Friday. The packing list kept it to jungles, leather combat, and a pair of Danner cold weather. It's a wee bit warm for cold weather boots but whatever.

Must be a Pre-Ranger packing list. The RS packing list (March 05) only calls for 2 pair Hot weather boots (Black or Green) and 2 pair Black leather (Non-Insulated).

Time and Time again we get some DUMBASS that can't pack according to the packing list. If you can't read the list and pack accordingly then you are definitely not Ranger material...Nor are you Soldier material.
