Wisdom Teeth Surgery

Post by ImportsRsloths »

I heard getting your wisdom teeth was suppose to knock you the fuck out, and that you are usually bed stricken for the first day or two...

Well yesterday (Tues 30) I was put to sleep by gas and dont remember anything untill I woke up at about 3:00. When I woke up I was fine, my jaws werent really even swollen. It hurt a little, but no pain no game. I even had all four taken out! Later on, my buddy Mike came over and we went and hit the gym pretty hard (biceps), and then went and ran 5 at the local park.....

Any other DEPS get their wisdom teeth removed? How was your experience?

I got mine out summer before my Freshman year in high school. It was actually pretty fun. I got the good ol' IV so when I woke up... it was a trip man. Good times. I was numb as fuck for a solid 12 hours. Parts of my face were actually still numb the next day. I figure they gave me too much juice, but who knows. It wasn't too bad, doesn't mean I'd volunteer to do it again though.

I hate to break the news, but knocking you out for your wisdom teeth ain't right. Are you sure your dentist didn't have his way with you and rob you of your booty ?

I had all four of mine removed at once and they were all growing sideways down in the bone. The dentist had to cut the bone on all of them. I flushed all the pain meds that he gave me down the commode as soon as I got home because the pain was minimal, but I looked like Alvin the Chipmunk. My cheeks were the size of the Goodyear Blimp!

When I got my wisdom teeth removed they had to put me out because they were impacted. During the surgery I woke up. I couldn’t move my arms or legs because of the medicine. I couldn’t speak because my mouth was packed with gauze. I didn’t feel any pain but I could hear the Dr trying to get one tooth out that was impacted into my lower jaw.

I remember the Dr looking at me with horror when he noticed I was staring back at him. That’s the last thing I remember about waking up. I guess he gave me more medicine to knock me out because I didn’t wake up again until the surgery was over. I asked the nurse when it was over if I had woken up during the surgery and she said yes.

I had purple and blue bruises on my jaw the size of thumb prints due to the force used to get that tooth out. It looked as if I had gotten into a fight. It was a great story to tell at PT on Monday.

Pull them ALL OUT....They're easier to brush when you can hold them in your hand and see what you're doing. :D

I marched back to battalion, the platoon was at the range doing a live fire and I got trucked out there to complete the training venue...there I am spitting fucking blood everywhere doing gun team drills with my wpns squad until 0300 in the morning.

I was flippin' miserable, but these are the moments that I look back on with fondness. A leg would have gotten a week long no standing, walking or running profile for more than 5 minutes with a supply of ice cream.
They would have just numbed me up except my wisdoms were part of my jaw and too impacted for normal surgery. As far as the leg thing -Well I went in on a four day weekend because I knew that my quarters would only be for one night because of the anesthesia.
