Jarhead checking in

Well folks, In was referred to this site off of another one that was completely unrelated to anything military, however odd that is.

Anyway, as you can tell by the thread title, Im a Marine. Currently stationed in beautiful 29 Palms, CA. Returned from Iraq in April of this year. The terrorists are eagerly awaiting my return in January.

Well, thats about all I have to say. Rangers are some cool guys, but I still like my colors Red and Gold.

Also would like to comment on the user Southeroftheborder, whom I just saw after reading a few threads.

Force Recon is hard core enough, but Force AND a Ranger?! Holy frijoles!!

Negative on that. 3rd Light Armored Reconnaisance BN. Were right across the street though.

Its kinda funny, I tell someone my unit and they'll say, "Whoa, you're in Recon?" I'll flat out say "No". But if someone says, "Whoa, you're in a Recon BN?" I'll kinda look around a bit and say, "Yeah".

Technically its true. I'd never say that to a real Recon guy though. He'd probably eat me.
