RIP is 4 Weeks

I heard the same thing. The fourth week is Advanced Marksmanship training or something. Anyone got any better intel on this topic?

Your friends are stupid. I was there with most of them I'm sure.

They have to ZERO their weapon for Day and Night. Just like you do in basic. You don't bring that rifle with you you know. You get a new one with your unit. I'm sure it seems advance to them from all the lasers flying around and the fact that they aren't being yeld at by ol' fat DS. Not only that, they didn't graduate till just this past friday(19th) And this Monday would be the "fourth" week. If they do any "advanced" training, it will be here with their team leaders foot up their ass.

Exactly! If they said RIP was five weeks, would you have second thoughts about going? "Well, gee, I was almost a Ranger, but then they increased the requirements from a three week RIP to five weeks, so I didn't go".

well i heard RIP was one week of hard work but the rest was a vacation to the islands >>><<< who fuckin cares if you want to be a ranger it shouldnt matter at all you shouldnt even care one bit im a dep i dont care what the fuck happans all i know is i need to train thats it train no matter how long ,,, you dont know how long a fire fight is gunna last you just worry about staying in it and keepin some boys along to see it as well ...

Looking back, I wish RIP was 2 months long, because I had such a fucking blast.

I did, but the 11b's did not. But with the numbers coming through it may have changed.
