Greetings From OSUT
Hello everybody,
Just got my first 4 hour pass so here I am checking in. Ranger Silverback has stopped by to pay me a visit which was motivating. My Drill SGt told me I was getting an article 15 and to report to the CO's office immediately. I was trying to figure out what I had done when Ranger Silverback surprised the hell out of me. Although I need alot of improvment I have been giving 110% at all times and will never quit till I accomplish the mission at hand. Many of the recruits here are always talking about dropping their RIP slots because they wanna go home it makes me sick. They take it for granted having the oppurtunity to join the best and they dont even try. I got my hands on the Ranger Creed and I . am studying it every night getting ready for RIP. Thank you Ranger Silverback for mentoring me and being there to help me when I needed it most I will never forget it. I hope to repay the favor one day. Thanks for all the advice and support from the Rangers on this site id be a soup sandwich without it. And to all the DEPS out there make the most of this site while you can , the information here is everything you need to make it. I have to get back to the bay but in 2 weeks I get a main post pass and I will write again.

Keep up the good work, if Ranger Silverback stopped by to check you out, you must be a squared away troop. Let the slugs fall by the wayside (they'll be many more as you get closer to your objective), you'll hear every "EXCUSE" in the book and some may even try to get you to quit with'em, but don't you do it! Focus on what you have to do, and then meet each objective head on, and you'll be fine.
Good luck to you, I look forward to you making it through Airborne School and RIP.

We are all pulling for you! I'm glad you were able to meet Ranger Silverback.
Keep focused and remember you've come a long ways already - make the all your effort - and Ranger Silverbacks! - worth it by going all the way.

MAB was in what I refer to as an "Effort to Effect deficit". I spoke with his Drill and he seems to think MAB is going to be fine. I should also mention that MAB's current chain of command allowed me access to him without complaint. Of course I assured them that I was not a CID investigator (like my uniform wouldn't give that away) Shit I even got his Drill Sergeant fired up to become a Ranger while I was waiting for MAB!
