Introduction

Post by potroast27 »

Hi,
My name is Jay I work at a Greek restaurant called Sunrise making pizzas. I'm 17 and I am finishing up my senior year.
I joined the Army Oct. 7, 2004. I signed 11x option 4 and 82nd division. I hope to get the chance to attempt Ranger school while at Ft. Bragg. I am excited about learning as much as possible from this site.

Welcome to the site.

What is an Option 4?

Why didn't you go for an Option 40 and be a Ranger?

Thank you Ranger Bell. At the time I signed I wasn't 100% sure I wanted Ranger. I did know that I wanted to be a paratrooper. I believe option 4 is airborne, my apologies if I am mistaken.

Ranger Bell,
I know I signed airborne 11x and 82nd division. I assumed (first mistake) that option 4 was the Basic Airborne Training. I ship Aug. 1. Thank you for your comments.

I got the nick name Potroast in Football. My coach played college ball with a wide reciever named Jay (his nick name was potroast). He got his nick name from making fun of Meatloaf the singer. I was a wide reciever with the same first name as him, so i inherited his nick name.
