The best is going into downtown Nashville on the weekends to some of the clubs near 2nd and broadway and seeing 5 or 6 joe's wearing the PT shirt, and walking around like nobody else in there is military.

I try to strike a quick conversation, thinking that he's in the army around here or PS, since I'm in a Navy town. He says that he's never been in the military. I ask him why is he wearing the shirt then. His reply:"It's my brother in law's. I find the shirt cool" Why don't you enlist then, dumb mofo?
Hey SR , I got one of those shirts and it's not that old, is it?
Matter of fact, I was PTing in it during lunch today.

Speaking of clothes with Army on them

Post by ArmyRecruiterGuy »

The funny thing is before I became a recruiter the only thing I had that said Army on it was my PFU and BDU's. NOW I can't find any shirts to wear that DOES NOT have something Army on it....Ain't that a bisnatch?

Best newbie sighting ever:
In the mini-mall area at Fort Benning.
Blue jeans, PT sneakers.
Mirrored sunglasses (indoors).
"Death from Above" t shirt.
Airborne teddy bear under his arm (complete with BDU, beret).
reading a Hustler magazine.

That was a couple of years ago, before camelbacks were big.

Don't be that guy!
