He also lived in Oklahoma for a while, near Muskogee. Yes, the reason I know this is because I am an Okie from Muskogee.
I was bred and born in Oklahoma City! And I've only been back once in 48 years. So am I now or was I ever an Okie? Figured I'd ask an Okie to find out.

My sister and her family just moved east last year to northern Virginia from Edmund, OK. They absolutely loved it out there.

I know that here in the South, that anything north of Richmond is not considered as being in the South.

Once an Okie, always an Okie. Don't get to Edmond much, but it is quickly becoming an "upcoming suburb" of OKC.

I like Oklahoma's climate, and the location allows me to make it to any other state in relatively short time. I've been told the people of Oklahoma are really nice and since our cities are young they aren't that dirty. (Remember our state is only considered only 102 years old this year).

I prefer the state of Texas because you can be in the desert, ocean, canyons, forests, big cities, or another country in reasonably good time and I like Texans (my grandmother was born a Texan, in a little town where some guy named Audie Murphy was from.).
