Hello Rangers, Depers, and everyone else!
My name is James K ( creative I know ) and I am a twenty three year old from Yonkers NY. I'm a High School grad and avid reader from a lower middle class backround who is strongly considering joining the National Guard as an Infantry Soldier. I understand that definately limits my chances at Ranger training, but I still want to be the best Infantry Soldier I can be, and the advice and wisdom on these boards is just to good to pass up!. I also wanted to say that from what I have seen, you Rangers and company are awesome, the support for the depers and guys in BCT/AIT/RIP is outstanding, a real sense of community.
Thank you all for the information on these boards, if I find the Army is the place for me I'll strongly consider going active if the option presents itself, I'll be sure to look into RIP or Ranger School if it is something I can do to expand my skills as a Soldier.

Oreo, maybe your experience is bad but overall, the Guard has a purpose, they still serve this nation, they are still soldiers and they are in IRAQ right now serving combat roles. Direct your anger somewhere else because as long as they are paying the same price as other soldiers, I wont disrespect them and I guaranfuckingtee you...I wont stand by and watch you do it.
