Introduction
I'm currently finishing up my high school education and will be a 'mid-term' graduate on Nov. 12. I'm currently DEP in the USMC for OccFld 0300, yet this is not where I feel I need to be. There is a very long and uninteresting story behind how I came to be in this situation, but I will sum in up in only a few sentences...
Circumstances forced me out of school and being almost 20, I was having trouble re-enrolling. A SSgt. at the USMC office pulled the strings and got me back in, nd I somehow felt like I owed him for getting it done for me, hence why I am in DEP for the USMC.
I am currently seeking a way to move from this to the ARMY with an Option 40 and a ship date immediately following my 'graduation.' If anyone has any insight, it would be much appreciated.

Evolution,
It looks like you are kinda caught between a rock and a hard place....I hope everything works out the way you want it to. Sorry, I am ignorant in the realm of DEP, Recruiting, and all of that other stuff, but there are some members on the site that are skilled along those lines.
Decide exactly how you want to word your situation, and post it into the recruiting process area, and someone will help you out.
Welcome to the site, and good luck.

Good job, it looks like you read the FAQ's.
I will be looking forward to your story.

Where are all these smart Marines coming from? Leatherneck....did you lay some eggs, Bro?
Seems like every Jarhead or USMC DEP we get can actually write and express himself better than most of our other members. You guys are giving the Corps a bad name!
All joking aside, welcome aboard. We have a 'resident recruiter' here, along with a few Marine-turned-Army guys. If there's a way to switch over, I'm sure you can find the answer here. Best of luck to you, no matter which branch you choose.

Always remember: BROS BEFORE HOES.
Ranger Dublo,
Just for quick reference, my entire situation is posted here:

A quick question to a moderator or administrator: Since my member title has been changed to 'DEP (USMC)', I notice my avatar was removed. Should I pick a new avatar from the DEP gallery?
Thank you, Rangers.
