Option 40 secured.
After some waiting I have finally got what I have desired, my Option 40 Ranger contract. :D
I ship 20050706 and start OSUT on 20050715 and Airborne on 20051024.
I go up to MEPS tomorrow and on Saterday will take the Oath of Enlistment.
Thanks to all the Rangers and other service members, because without this site, I don't think this would have happened.

I was able to reserve the Option 40 through my recruiters comp. I'm not really sure what the program was called, but it had a complete list of all jobs with what Options were available along with it. I'm sure SFC hit_it could fill you in some more on what it is.NoMoreRegrets wrote:Congrats!
BPH, I had come to believe that the Option 40 contract/reservation could only be obtained at MEPS, but you seem to indicate that you got it before you got to MEPS, from your Recruiter??
