Re: Introduction: Joe
Same ol' Same ol' Joe. I'm disappointed that you're still pulling the same shit. "I had cramps", "I'm sick", "Insert random excuse on why my pt scores suck".. not sure if you think we're slow or something but we've heard every excuse in the book, whether it be from DEPS or active duty troopers. I've said it once and I'll say it again, get your head out of your ass and start doing good, hard PT every day. If you truly want to be a Special Operations Medic then you will have to start first by being in great shape. The training pipeline is ridiculously long and part of the equation that makes up a resilient individual is your physical fitness level.

Roger Ranger Jim, will do!
Rangers,
I will post a pft score tomorrow. I am getting over the flu but I will push hard to try to not allow that to affect my results. Appreciate the direction you have given me.

Re: Introduction: Joe
Rangers,
Tomorrow, I will make the trip to MEPS to sign a 68w option 40 contract. Ship date is 14 April 2015. I've been working with a new recruiter was in Regiment, which improved things quite a bit. Even though I wanted to wait for the semester to be over, I dropped college to jump on the opportunity instead of waiting an unpredictable amount of time for a future opening. My pt is improving; however, I hurt my hip doing sprints yesterday and I'm afraid of it cutting into my running for an extended amount of time. I need every chance to improve my pt. I hope to be able to incorporate more swimming to help the healing. Going to be a busy few weeks. Appreciate the guidance that has gotten me this far. Reciting the Ranger Creed every day.

Re: Introduction: Joe
Good job securing an Option 40 contract. You need to do everything you can do to get these scores up. especially your push-ups and run. You've got about a month to do it. Give everything you've got, every time you give and never, ever quit! RLTWG.I.434 wrote:My PFT:

Re: Introduction: Joe
Rangers,
Today I had the privilege of signing a 68w option 40 contract. MEPS went very smooth, in and out with no issues. My ship date is 20150414. It is an honor to take on such an opportunity. A very proud moment to swear in in front of my family. I have a few weeks before leaving for Fort Sill, I will be focusing heavily on my pt and will post a pft soon. I am very excited and almost overwhelmingly anxious about this journey, but I know why I am doing it. Can't wait.

Re: Introduction: Joe
Rangers,
Finished all my online future soldier training. Land Nav is pretty interesting. Really excited to get to learn more in-depth on the aspects of soldiering. Counting down is kind of an emotional roller coaster, anxiety hits every once in a while just cause I do stupid things like watch the videos online and over-think every situation. But when I remind myself to get out of my head(a rare moment), why I am doing this, and the pride I will feel at the end of each step, that anxiety turns right back to excitement. Future soldier meetings are interesting (but also a reminder of why I want to serve at a higher standard, no disrespect to my fellow future soldiers), it will be good to get the opportunity to drill and pt with a group before basic. My recruiter had me hand write Robert Roger's Standing Orders and regularly recite the Ranger Creed. Everything just builds the excitement. All push-ups are being done with elevated feet now. Never thought how much harder that would be on my core. Pt is improving, but had to take a week and a few days off from running, due to a hip injury (from sprinting). Returning to running for cardio tomorrow. Pft planned for next Monday as long as my hip is up for the hard running. Tried incorporating my girlfriend in to my prep for some fun. I gave her permission to drop me at any time for push-ups and drill movements. Needless to say, she really enjoys this... I think my push-up score will too. Hard charging, independent kinda girl. Really supportive. Sure would be nice to see her on the other side of all this. Long-story short, idle hands are the devil's playground!!!
