Hey guys I took my ASVAB yesterday but my recruiter wouldn't let me look at my scores. He told me I got a 83 but I don't get why he wasn't letting me see the paper considering I was the one who took the test. Just wondering if that's normal?

Rangers!!!! Its been a long time since my last update on my recruiting process (knocking out 50). Well I just got back from reserving my job at the recruiting office. I am disappointed but i guess everything happens for a reason. Sadly i needed a consult 2 weeks ago because of an astigmatism in my left eye, however the waiver was approved and my eyes are within the requirement of the Regiment so hopefully i work my ass off and get lucky to eventually get my shot at Airborne and RASP. On a more positive note however Il be swearing in This tuesday and My ship date will be February 10th with an 11x contract to Benning. I may be rushing it a bit but I can't stand being home any longer. If any Rangers on the site who have gone through the situation i have here could let me know how this will work with getting into the 75th with a waiver through OSUT with a little more detail that would be awesome and great help.

I have looked it up by the way and i've seen its in the opening of the Airborne or RASP class that is up. Then every other result is all the search results that just have the keywords i searched up and i get 386 pages of every single time somebody has even thought of posting the words Ranger Rasp and Waiver.

Its also been a long ass time since i've posted a PT score so i will also knockout 50 push ups and sit ups for every 2 weeks i haven't posted
(PT Test as of last week)
Push ups: 71( They didn't go down i just wasn't doing them right i found out my max was 52 doing them right)
Sit Ups : 57 (Focusing on these more than anything now)
2 mile : 13:29
5 mile haven't checked since my last one
Pull ups : 19 (Fucking pissed)
Total i believe is a 259

Im praying i can fuck the pt test up by the time i Ship

Thank you for you time Rangers and allowing me to be a member of this site.

Hey bud, slow down and pay attention. We're not simply here to serve your needs. You're a guest.

Pay attention to what and how you post or most will stop reading after the first paragraph and move on to something more interesting. If you post smartly and use proper English and grammar while still being able to follow the site rules you may just get some of the help you're asking for.

If you continue to post like you've known us all our lives that help will be few and far between.

If you're still not sure what I'm talking about then pm another Dep and ask them for advice on how to proceed before posting again.

Thank you and good luck.

If possible, try to complete an airborne physical prior to shipping. This will be helpful when you go to OSUT and try to get selected for airborne training and RASP. Never, never quit!

Ranger Fuego , i was busy driving around visiting family for these past two days. I should have posted an apft last week I believe. There is no excuse for that i will knockout 50 when i arrive at fort dix.

Rangers i am currently in the hotel waiting for breakfast. Id like to thank all the rangers on this site for providing all of the information given to us deps.

Ranger Jim i also could not get the airborne physical for some reason i will ask the recruiter at meps if i can fit it in before i ship but im not sure if that is even remotely possible

No excuses. It's called attention to detail and target/threat identification before you hit the submit button or press the trigger.

Rangers I'm currently on my 12 hour pass so far basics been pretty easy for the most part I've adapted pretty well to everything here. The drill sergeants definitely keep everything interesting with the way they mess with us keeps basic fun and not monotonous.
a run down of pretty much anything important i really messed up my first pt test failing with
62 pu
44 su
1337 2m
However on apft 3 i got a 294
67 pu
79 su
1240 2m
I currently have the highest pt score in my platoon with a 294 and I'm 3rd in the company im also a squad leader which is cool but now I can't have the 240
I qualified straight terrible with a 29 which pisses me off because 2 days before i shot a 37 and a 34 i really wanted that expert badge. Other than that the ftx is in a couple weeks were starting to do urban ops which is badass. The ruck marches are real easy I've not had any problems with them besides some chafing

Other than that im hoping i get a chance to speak to the Ranger recruiter next week my drill sergeant said he might be coming next week but to not get my hopes up. That's all i got so far Rangers.

If anybody shipping to benning is reading this. Don't be one of those faggots that gets to reception and changes his mind about being in the army or is super home sick at basic training. Missing home is understandable just don't cry yourself to sleep at night it's annoying for everybody people are trying to sleep ,never ever ever ever forget to stand at parade rest when addressing an nco , and literally and metaphorically speaking don't fuck your battle buddies . That happened at reception it was real awkward.

Stay motivated it goes by quick and you'll make some great friends don't wanna give anything besides general advice because i have not yet graduated osut. Just speaking on my experiences so far , hoping im not out of line. Basic ain't hard don't over think it in your head.
