Being a Ranger would make a dream come true

Post by Bcutberth »

Hello Ranger community,
First I would like to thank all of you for serving the best country in the world. One of my goals for my military career is to become a Ranger. I am 18 years old and very motivated to be the best I can be. I enlisted as a Combat Engineer and leave for OSUT in 17 days. I workout everyday with the motivation and determination of becoming a Ranger. So far my PT test includes 90 push-ups, 96 sit-ups, and 12:50 2 mile run. I am very determined to go to airborne school ad hopefully someday become part of the 75th. The main thing I just wanted to know if anybody has any motivational tips or things to start working on to become a Ranger, or any advice, it would be great to hear. Thank you!

Nobody "knows" they are ready before they attend. they just think they do. You will know if you are ready for RASP if you are donning a tan beret!

It's been said ad nauseum before, but it's worth repeating - the only thing you can do is NEVER QUIT!!!!!

Repeal the 16th, enforce the 10th.

Thank you Rangers. I look forward to training and getting ready to obtain the opportunity to go to RASP. I know that it will be the most difficult thing I ever do, but I also know that I will not quit and never give up. I am very motivated to be part of the most elite infantry unit in the world and know that once RASP ends and I don my tan beret, then I know that will be the start of something new and difficult. I will then know that te training has just begun.

Don't be mistaken, there will be times in battalion that make RASP seem like summer camp. RASP is the easy part in the whole scheme of things.

It can't kill ya and it can't last forever.
