Sen. Daniel Inouye RIP

Post by rangertough »

I saw he died on the 17th and waited for America to mourn a hero. I realize that the school shooting was more important (I believe the Senator would agree), but the man needs to be remembered here. They flew flags at half-mast for Kennedy and he was scum and served for less time.

Senator Inouye was a hero as was all the men he served with.

Mr. Miyagi (the character not the actor Noriyuki "Pat" Morita) was a member of the 442d.

With the death of Inouye and Kerry moving to SoS only 2.5% of the Senate is now comprised of combat veterans (none later than VN). Total Vets in Senate approx. 12%.

No wonder we get no play it's even worse in Congress. Patty Murray (D-WA) is the head of the Congressional Commitee on Vets affairs and the bitch never served a day.

IMHO she shouldn't be eligable for the possition. Well in my opinion you shouldn't be allowed to hold office (or vote) unless you've served but that's neother here no there.

As so eloquently reasoned in Starship Troopers, suffrage and the ability to hold office should be limited to those who have honorably served. It never ceases to amaze me how so much power is granted to such an assemblage of nitwits, nincompoops, and blockheads.
Of course, that is why we are faced with the complex and insurmountable problems which threaten to bring this country to its knees, if not an outright faceplant.

RIP, Senator Inouye, you earned your honor and have set a standard few, if any, could ever meet.
