Firstly thank you to all the Rangers and other service members on this site who have served our country so well and are offering their time and experience to those of us who strive to do the same.
My name is Andrew, I am a ROTC cadet at Cal State Fullerton. Branch selection is a few months away, and lord willing I will get infantry. I am confident this site will be one more tool to helping me prepare for all the fun and adventure that is to come.
For what it's worth:
Air Assault Qualified
Good PT score
Ranger Challenge team member 1st place '09 and 2nd place '10
Motivated
Very Respectfully,
Andy

Welcome Youngster. Enjoy the journey as you strive to become the Warrior you envision for yourself. Heed well the advice of experience but never falter from your own moral compass. Read; observe; learn - and then accomplish.

Re: Cadet intro
Welcome to the site, young soldier. My advice to you is to listen to and heed the counsel of your NCOs once you are commissioned. Let them run the unit while you command it. I used to tell my new detachment commanders they only had to worry about 5 things; Establish the standard, Set the example, provide resources, give corrective guidance, and implement discipline & awards. The NCOs can handle the rest.
