Hello Rangers, first and foremost I would like to thank you all for your service, commitment, and for all the sacrifices you have all made. I am grateful for stumbling upon this site and the invaluable knowledge I have been learning while lurking throughout this forum for the past year or so. Joining the military has always crossed my mind throughout my life, but I was never sure I would go through with it. After making a serious evaluation on my life, I have decided it's something I definitely want to do. There are a couple reasons why:
1) I am currently in college studying criminal justice and plan on using the G.I. Bill to finish my college education and become an officer once my enlistment was up. Hopefully work on from there to eventually working for a federal agency, such as the FBI or DEA. I feel like having the experience of the military can only help with accomplishing that goal.
2) When I was younger, around 12 or so my uncle gave me a book on United States Special Forces. It covered the SEALS, Delta, and the 75th Ranger Regiment. Ever since then I was hooked. I am 21 now, and know for sure it is where I want to be. Members of the United States military have my utmost respect and gratitude, especially those that fall under Special Operations Command. If I am signing a commitment of my life to this country, I want to serve with the elite, where they strive to be the best. I want to take full advantage of my time in the military and make the most of it and I feel that becoming a Ranger and the effort put in helps you become that type of man I am striving to be.
I thank you all for your service Rangers and for running this site which helps hopefuls such as myself find our way.
