Why do I really want to go back?
I am a retured bush vet. I try to keep a happy medium from being a war junkie, but to yearn for stability of structure and discipline...I want it in my home number one, my community, and most of all withing my own life..I share my life with my wife, who is slowly getting sick and tired of my stuff. She understands, but she has endured me for 18 years...All the nightmares, night sweats, mood swings, and everything else that comes along with it. She's my soldier, but she is a "diva". I do have a fixation...to be honest...I can remember everything and everyplace I was when I experienced the things that made me addicted to the military. My wife will be so proud that I have found somewhere to let out some things that she just doesn't want to hear anymore...She will listen, but I owe it to her to talk to my fellow rangers who may be going through similar obstacles I often find myself in...I am watching Tour of Duty Season 4 now, and after that I will probably watch Apocalypse Now after that...It makes me feel like I can more understand that than CSI, or Star Trek...It is starting to affect my marriage, but we are strong, and like I said I have my own team...My family...My wife...She is my soldier, and has been for 18 years...but I still have to do what I must to not run her away...Talk to Me Rangers/or girlfriends or wives..

Since this is your first post, I moved it to the Veterans Introduction Forum and approved it because the post is so fucked up that it appears you need someone to talk to. You need to tell us a little more about yourself and your service in the Military.
I never wore a cape, but I still have my dog tags.

Well brother, this is your lucky day. You are at the right sight. I guarantee you that there are people here that can relate to your issues. My advice would be to stay close to here. It gives you something to look forward to everyday. Like Ranger Slowpoke said, tell us a little more about yourself, sit down and stay awhile.BTW, there is no better part played by any actor than Robert Duvall in Apacalypse Now.
