Woburn, MA Officer shot and killed

Post by cams »

John "Jack" Maguire RIP Brother

A veteran Police Officer in Woburn, Massachusetts was shot and killed after responding to a robbery call at Kohls Dept. Store.

After a brief footchase and several shots being fired back and forth, Officer Maguire was struck 4 times. He died later that night at the hospital.

His murderer, who had been previously sentenced to THREE life sentences for numerous armed robbery's and armed assaults, was out on parole.

Officer Maguire's rounds also found their mark, killing the suspect before falling himself.

Two other accomplices were arrested later that evening. One, the getaway driver, was released on $1000.00 bail that night.

Disgusting.

Rest in Peace Brother. May your family find some justice in this fucked up state.

Looking out for the "rights" of felons surely makes the citicXX, er..subjects of Massachusetts feel so much safer.
Unreal, just so incredibly unreal.

Yeah right. I hope the parole board officials live with that guilt the rest of their lives.

Caught that on CBS tonight. 2009 saw +-109 officers killed LOD and the price rocketed to 160 this year.

RIP, Officer. May God Bless You and Your Entire Family.

Read the article, then some reader comments. People are rather angry over the situation, as they should be. Unfortunately little will change. How did a 19 yr old get hooked up with a coupla 50 yr olds unless they were related?

And a $1000 bail? Gimme an effin' break, fahchrissake!

There are occasions I might consider Judge Lynch stepping in.

I do so wish the police would allow civilian "volunteers" that are not restrained by the same ROE.

TC204 wrote:the chiefs should also review all potential parolies? After all, these dirt bags are being released into their jurisdictions. RIP Officer Maguire.
And as well, before parolees get out, they should be required to obtain written permission from the munincipal board (or elected equivalent) of the jurisdiction they hope to reside in. If people don't want felons as neighbors, then the poor misunderstood little scumbags will just have to do their full time.

This is reminiscent of Officer Mark Renningers murder last yr in Lakewood, WA.

Mark was a friend of X-Rays, myself and several others here as he served with us in 2nd Batt or local LE. He was shot in the back of the head while enjoying his morning coffee to start his tour, by, you guessed it, a shitbag out on parole for multiple rapes/assaults.

What the hell is it going to take to either untie our hands, or keep theirs in a fucking cage where they belong.

Mark was a good man, and an outstanding officer. He and his fellow Lakewood, Wa. LEO's are missed everyday.

With the way the laws are going across the Nation, it doesn't surprise me that Officer Maguire was shot and killed by a P.O.S. with a record like that. Of course, God forbid if we don't give these low-life scum bags 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th chances. Just wish these scumbags would go around killing card-carrying A.C.L.U. members and not guys wearing badges.

Rest In Peace, Officer Maguire. Prayers to family, friends, and fellow LEO's in the A.O.
