Impressing a 4 yr old

Post by Lefty »

Spent the weekend with the daughter's family, saw the usual attempts to control our 4 yr old granddaughter. She kept tipping her chair back at the kitchen table despite mom's "four-on-the-floor" scold. Our daughter finally told her of a little boy who tipped too far back, fell over on the floor hard, and "broke his head open". That finally got through to the little girl, who became very still and wide-eyed, then asked very solemnly -

"Did his batteries fall out?"

My teenage daughter recently called one of the tennis coaches a "douche canoe".

I have no idea where she got that phrase from.

Thats my story and I'm stickin' to it.
