Awkward Civilian On Deck

Post by V-Man »

Hi all, I'm the V-Man. One of the articles on my website had a backlink to a message in your Good Humor forum, so I just wanted to stick my head in and say thanks for the support.

Don't hate on a guy but I'm a former Marine (reservist!) and civilian LEO, although I did spend two years in Iraq as a private security contractor. I had the chance to work very closely with some great Army MPs and grunts, if that counts for anything. These days I'm pretending to stay busy as a security manager for one of the big defense companies. If we ever bump into each over at the airport news stand, feel free to say hey. I'll be the guy in the Dockers and the collared shirt who's trying to figure out how to turn on my laptop without putting down my Starbucks.

Anyway, thanks again for the support, and feel free to hit me up if you've got any interest in a post-Army career as an overseas security contractor. I hope to learn a thing or two myself from this forum, assuming that's okay with all present.

Welcome V!
Damn good site you have there. Great sense of humor and some sage advice for corporate employment hidden in there. I wasted, or invested, a few hours reading it in depth. Keep it up.
