I'm new here
I just wanted to say hello, and that I just signed up for this site today.
I was an 11C in 2/75. I was there from 97 to 2000. I started silly school 3-99, but because of retardedness, I graduated 5-99.
I got out so that I could pursue a degree, and then hopefully return to the Regiment. I was getting pretty old, and was forgetting the basics of algebra, and english so I figured I had better go to college before I forgot those things altogether.
However, recently my life has taken quite a turn. I am not going to talk about all that on here right now, I will by PM if a BTDT is interested. I may be heading back into the Regular Army before 2004 is finished.
I have already set about paving my way back into Regiment. However, I may go in as either an E-5, or an E-4. Hopefully it will be as an E-4 since I have been out for almost 4 years.
I have already begun my packet to re-enlist, and the recruiter that I talked to was pretty sure that I would return as an E-5.
Like I said before, I have been paving my way to re-enter the Regiment. I have been in contact with 1SG Pi***n, MSG N****S the Regiment Liason at DA, and MSG W*****R the 75th Retention NCO.
If someone on this site has any G2 about ROP, I would appreciate any information that I can find.
I was really hoping to go back in as an E-4 because I was a RIP TAC right before ETS'ing and know all about that program.
Thanks,
Dublo

Hey thanks for the SOPS. In fact, the very ones that you sent me are now the major ones in use for that national guard unit.SpearmintRhino wrote:Welcome Sgt D, glad to see you on this site.
I had emailed you the SOPs back then on SOCnet. I am using the same current username there now.
Hope your reinsertion into the Army goes back as smooth as you want.
Your help was invaluable.

Welcome home Regnar!
BTW, didn't it used to be that if you were Ranger Qualified and served in a Ranger unit and were E-4 and below, when they sent you to another unit you were automatically bumped up to E-5?
When I was at Regiment I remember that was what we used to hear because somebody had gotten tabbed and then got in trouble (fight, DUI or something like that), they got sent to the 82nd and they immediately made him a E-5 or at least that was the rumor.
Anyways good luck gettin back to Regiment Bro.

Welcome to the site Ranger Dublo and that is correct Ranger BeadleBug. Every E-4 that came back tabbed out or had arrived from batt. with a tab was sent to the very next E-5 board and always got their stripes. They were never put through the standard question and answer bit because being Ranger Qualified, that proved they knew their shit. Up until they went to the board they would be made a corporal and given a team. Although I have been out a while, I can't see why it should be any different now. Hope this helps.
