Evening Rangers, I'm back once again to update my status. For some reason, my contract "was not available" at the time of my leaving for my first MEPS visit, so I've had a full physical but have not signed. I obtained green lights at every station, my vision was a little lack-luster. My nearsighted vision was a 20/20 (both eyes). Unfortunately, my farsighted vision was 20/25 (right) and 20/30 (left). Apparently that has warranted me some kick ass eye-wear at basic. I'm curious as to if that minuscule deviation from 20/20 is even deserving of wearing the glasses? Now, the contract is available and a temporary reservation has been placed on it. I am returning to MEPS on 20100511. Not much riffraff for me, just a lot of waiting and standing firmly. The remainder is paperwork, then I'm on my way. I will return to update with contract in hand.

Wise words, thank you Ranger Bill. Another concern I have is I stand only 64 inches tall.. the minimum weight for my height was 114. I'm only 119 pounds. I'm concerned that running and things like that are going to pull me below the minimum. Stacking 6,000-7,000 calories a day at one time, no dice. I gained maybe 3 pounds but it shed immediately.

MEPS is looking unlikely, yet again. The contract presented itself but was lacking of the Army College Fund, of which I had specifically asked for. I refused politely, but that made the recruiter who had "worked so hard" to produce the contract irate. Sorry if I "lied" more or less to everyone here by saying I would be signing, but this one was beyond my control. Playing the waiting game again, thank you Ranger Bill for the advice.
