Introduction- Chris from Illinois

Post by CEC1990 »

Hello, I am 20 years old and graduated from high school 2008. After I graduated I started collage immediately and continued working full-time for my family’s business (medical supply store and pharmacy). My cousin has already done a year long deployment and we have been training regularly and talking about options that I could consider. The short story is everything I wanted built up to what Army Rangers are.

BIO: My grandpa and father tought me early in life how to use a firearm but also respect and understand what they are capable of. Hunting has been a passion of mine since age 12. At about 14 I was a junior dog handler, qualified a dog as a junior hunter and got 5 points in adult field trials. I also have always been involved in team sports like football and baseball. I am 6 foot 160lbs and working on gaining weight. Will post pt score soon.

Thank you for your time and a well done web page. Your service is and always will be appreciated and respected.

Thank you,
Chris

Welcome. Your interest in Army Rangers is appreciated. Have you had any conversation with a recruiter? Be sure to read and heed the ROE PM I have sent you.

The welcome is much appreciated. Thank you.

Ranger Bill – I have talked to a recruiter on the phone and it was very informal. He sent me information about Special Forces. It was last week I received the information booklet and I’m surprised the recruiter has not been bothering me to make a commitment.

I’m not sure what I should do. I have to be at home on May 23. My sister asked me to be godfather for her son. After that date I have no responsibilities. I still need to take the ASVAB and everything that goes on at that time. When would it be a good time to walk in and try and make it happen?

What I do know is I want 11b option 40 contract.

Thanks for your time,
CEC

Well, Chris, a man has only one opportunity to create a favorable initial impression. Right now you are doing well enough, but it has been more than three months and you have not followed-up by posting your PT scores. So, for your first task, please self-administer a PT test and post your results here not late than midnight, Sunday, 1 August 2010. Never, never quit!

Push-ups 70
Sit-ups 78
Two mile 15:27

I think my push-ups and sit-ups are ok, but still can be improved. I have not been working on running so I’ll be spending more time on that from now on.

Is Collage tough? I always had a problem getting the water to glue ratio correct.

I always hated collages. I could never find enough pictures of shit to fill them up, so I ended up with a bunch of white space.

Chris, the reason I asked you to self administer a PT test is to provide us with a baseline to measure your progress. Lots of room for improvement, I see. Please take a look at the site section on physical fitness and start working on self-improvement. Please advise us of your progress. Never, never quit!
