I am MA Kay. I am a Master at Arms in the Navy. I am stationed with Mobile Security Squadron 7 in Guam.
I have previously patroned this site, and have just now made an introduction for myself.
I have >3 years under my belt and am looking to separate from the Navy at my EAOS to go back to school, attain a degree via my GIB, and return to the service.
The reason I have patroned this forum for so long was to see if other prior service members had been able to attain 18X(my main goal) or opt 40 at their re-enlistment into the service after a break.
I have utilized the search bar, and found it somewhat useful but it has yet to answer my question.
Thank you for your service Rangers.

Welcome sailor.
There has been a lot of traffic on this issue lately. While individual details can vary, short story is that it is very difficult, but doable. Timing seems to be important. Be flexible and consider the reserves as a route.
Scroll down this very forum, there are a lot of servicemembers looking to cross over, as well as PS looking for a new path. Many are not obvious from the subject line so spend some time opening all the damn posts on this page.
