Intro-Jerel

Post by Colt6920 »

Hello Rangers, thank you for your service and dedication to our country.

My name is Jerel and I am 23 years old with some college credit, and just reserved a 11x op40 contract with a ship date of 20101102. I plan to go to MEPS on Tues/Wed for my physical and to sign my contract. I have always had an interest in the military but was not sure on the path that I wanted to take. I started doing research on the Rangers after my Brother (USAF TACP/JTAC) completed Ranger School. I decided that I wanted to be a Ranger after reading about what the Rangers do and what their training is like. Now it is up to me to get in the best shape possible for the next 5 months. Thank you for this website, I have learned multitudes of information. PT results will be posted this afternoon.

Welcome and thank you for your future service. You have ample time to prepare but don't waste one day of it. We always need new hard chargers who know what they want and don't let up until they have it.

Jerel, a man has only one opportunity to make a favorable initial impression. So far, so good. I see you have been here for some time, so it appears that you understand how the systems function. You do need to do some work on your mid-range running, but you have time to improve your performance. Please look at some of the running threads. Never, never quit!

Welcome and congratulations for securing a contract to serve our country as an Army Ranger. Good luck to you with "luck" meaning preparedness meeting opportunity. You have the opportunity, and you have until November to get prepared. Don't waist that time and make your own good luck. Read and heed the ROE PM I have sent you.
WE NEED MORE RANGERS!
