Introduction - REVN556

Post by REVN556 »

Hello Rangers, Veterans, Ranger Wives/Parents

I'm PFC. REVN556 with the US Army. I currently belong to the 205th MI BN. stationed at Ft. Shafter, HI. I just turned 21 and Ft. Shafter is my first duty station. I'm a 35N, Signals Intelligence Analyst, and like some people here, I don't really like the work environment that I'm in, but hey "Ranger On". I'm going to be in Hawaii for three years and I've decided to take this time to not only spend time with my wife but train hard for the Regiment. It has been an aspiration for my since I was a child to become an Airborne Ranger, and as the days go by I keep wanting the scroll more and more. I can't begin to describe to you how much respect and reverence I have toward everyone in the 75th Ranger Regiment. It breaks my heart that some units don't have that discipline, respect, and pride that is instilled in you all. I keep reminding myself that I'm only here in Hawaii for three years. And though it seems wrong for some people for me to complain about where I'm at, the answer is simple: I'm not satisfied until I'm part of the best.

Current goals for me are to max out my pt test and pass Ranger standards. I have the full support of my wife and family, and there's no reason why I can't do it. As my time here lessens I will start to search for a way to get to Airborne School and then be assigned to the Regiment. I hope to use this forum to learn as much as I can about the Regiment and work my way up to it. Thank you all, Rangers Lead the Way!
