My name is Mahler (Last). I live near Lubbock, TX. I have planned on enlisting in the military since I was about 15. However, I have always been pushed to get a degree. In all, I have recieved a bachelors of science in biology, and will comlete my masters in administration in July. I am pursuing medical school at some point in my life to become a cardiac or orthopedic surgeon. This is only one of my many goals to accomplish during my life. Becoming a ranger medic is my main concern and has been over the last decade. Finally, this year my wife and I have settled our finances so I could pursue a career in the military.
Over the last few months I have completed my asvab with a afqt score of 97%, and a gt score of 134. My recruiter has had a tough time keeping up with what I want. We have discussed the SF route, whcih is not my choice atm. I know I want the 68w (health specialist), but I also want the option 40.
One day I will be a ranger. Even if it means holding out until october for the new jobs.
RANGERS LEAD THE WAY.

Mahler,
Those are some very honorable goals, as well as impressive ASVAB scores. Just be patient, and get exactly what you want. Don't leave anything to chance, if you can help it. Best of luck to you, and welcome to the site.

A man has only one opportunity to make a favorable initial impression. Glad you finally took it. If you truly want to earn a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment, you came to the right site. We take considerable pride in the fine young men who have passed through here on their life's journey. For your initial tasking, please self-administer a PT test and post the results here, on this thread, not later than midnight, Sunday, 14 March 2010. Re: Intro - Mahler
I am headed to MEPS this Thursday (03-11-10). My recruiter has been able to reserve the 68w, and told me to speak to the MEPS officer about option 40 or option 4.
Thanks for the advice, and I will take heed Ranger Bill.
