Introduction-Patrick
Hi, my name is Patrick. I'm 15 y/o. I'm currently enrolled in high school, in the 10th grade. I'm in AFJROTC, and I'm determined to become a Ranger. I'm usually not that great with this whole inroduction thing, so please excuse me if it seems kind of choppy.
I initially learned of the Rangers, in the summer of '09. I've been learning as much as I can about the Army and the 75th Regiment itself since then, and I've been going to my recruiting office for PT and information. My recruiter (If it's not against PERSEC then I'll give you his name) was a Ranger and me and him (along with my friend who also wants to become a Ranger) told him about our ambitions and he listened and we go to PT every Thursday, and do what we have to do and we feel great at the end.
I'm not trying to tell you my life story, its more along the lines of what lead up to my decision. In all honesty, I had wanted to give up so bad, when we went for a 6 mile run but I thought about what my recruiter would say so I soldiered up and continued on. I havent given up, no matter what at PT. If I want to become a Ranger then I need to man up, adapt and conquer the obstacle. I've been increasing my mental and physical toughness ever since my first PT meet and It's going great. I'm POSITIVE, that I'm no where near as tough as you (Rangers) but in due time, I will be and I will join this brotherhood.
I'm sorry for the long intro but I just wanted to prove to you all, that I'm not one of those people who will try something and up and quit when it starts getting tough, and I won't waste an Option 40 contract. I've been reading around here alot and I figure most of you, will be a bit skeptical., and that is understandable. I'm always open to helpful advice and constructive critisism.
Thank you all for your time, It will be great talking to you all. Until next time...

Roger that Ranger EarthPig. I 've read it, and I'll learn it by heart soon enough so I don't make anymore mistakes like before.EarthPig wrote:Please read the ROE I sent you.

Also, would it be alright If I use the phrase "Roger that"? I'm really not sure how to respond to something like that without sounding like I'm being short, or disrespectful, and I've been told that "yes sir" would piss off you and the other Rangers.
Re: Introduction-Patrick
I think the way you just did it ("Roger that, Ranger EarthPig") will cause you the least amount of grief.Patrick93 wrote:Roger that Ranger EarthPig. I 've read it, and I'll learn it by heart soon enough so I don't make anymore mistakes like before.EarthPig wrote:Please read the ROE I sent you.
