I work at the MP School and polled the audience.

The V5 identifier is "Military Police Investigator". It's a typo on the DD-214.

ASI V5, does appear to be MPI (Military Police Investigator).

Was personally holding out for "VS", which I was assuming indicated "Victoria's Secret" Model...

...could perform both duties...
