SITREP for Praetorian

Post by Praetorian »

Rangers,

I'm headed to MEP's next Wednesday evening and will be doing the physical portion on Thursday as I have already taken the ASVAB (70, 110 GT, 110 FA). I'm excited to finally get this going, my heel as fully healed and I've been training in full for about 3weeks now. I've stopped rucking for the time being and I'm just concentrating on running so my feet will be 100% for the PT test. My recruiter told me once I complete the physical portion at MEP's another recruiter from the same office (has the 3rd BN scroll on his left shoulder) is going to make a call and get me the 13foxtrot>option 40 contract.

I can't wait to ship, everything is working out for once. I recently discovered my manager is a Ranger School graduate and has offered (once he caught wind of my plans) to find me a temp job if my ship date is later than I expect as my employment with Lockheed Martin is over at the end of November.

Rangers,

Just got back from MEP's, my recruiter said he is going to secure my contract this week and I will finally be sworn in. I informed him my main focus is the 13foxtrot>option40 but overall I want just want to get to RIP( I hear it may be RASP now). My MEP's visit was interesting and my roommate was just not prepared at all. I had to help him get his packet together, clothes, bag etc and wake him up in the morning, he was just a complete mess overall. Other than that I was a GO on every station and now I'm just ready to sign and drive on, my visit to MEP's was just another reason for me to suck it up and never quit.
