Hello Rangers and other community members.
My name is Chad. I'm 25 years old. I will be attending MEPS this coming Wednesday to swear in. I was unable to secure an option 40 contract due to the limited availability. From what I have read it seems this option can be a crucial aspect as to whether you make it to R.I.P. or not. However I have decided to continue forward without the option in hopes of excelling in basic training so that I may attend Airborne school and in time - R.I.P./Ranger school. I have been following the daily PT regiment in this forum for the last month or so and it has proved to increase my endurance and physical strength immensely. More recently I have been utilizing the MilitaryAthlete.com daily training sessions per the last post instructions. I am enlisting as an 11x and hope to find a Mentor once I've secured my ship date. Thank you for providing a wealth of information for all of us.
Hope to see you soon.

Re: Introduction - Chad
Push-ups: 72 - 2 minutes
Sit-ups: 90 - 2 minutes
2-mile: 14:23
Mid-September I was only doing about 40-45 push-ups in 2 minutes.
I realized my triceps were made of gravy after starting the push-up improvement program featured in the PT Forum.
