Option 40 contract duration

Post by Eriks »

Hello Rangers,

I have been talking to my recruiter alot recently about option 40's and the topic of contract length came up. He says that all option 40 contracts are a minimum of 4 years. I have searched this and other forums with no definitive answers and am working on the advice that I am to check everything my recruiter tells me with unbiased sources. One thing he was ambiguous about is if its a four year minimum right now due to demand or if that is a general rule. I was wondering if any of you have information pertaining to this matter. Thank you for your time.

My son, who is now at 2/75 had a minimum enlistment of 4 years 29 weeks. What else are you going to do that will mean so much?
