PSYOP Soldiers tryout for team to serve alongside Army Rangers

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, Aug. 25, 2009) – Five Psychological Operations specialists assigned to the 4th Psychological Operations Group (Airborne) recently underwent a grueling five-day assessment to determine if they are fit to serve and fight with the 75th Ranger Regiment....Because of the tough missions and austere conditions that Rangers are notorious for, the Soldiers providing them PSYOP capabilities have to be the best available.
“These guys might have to move out for 20 miles loaded down with equipment, keeping up with Rangers who are probably the fastest ruckers in the Army, and still know how to perform their PSYOP role, and how they’ll fit into a given mission once they reach their objective,” Mead said. “We need thinkers that can fit in with the Ranger Regiment.”

I talked with a couple of these guys on the boat during my Haitian Vacation. Loved the concept of it all but these boys were some fatty’s... they had a hard time gettign off the shitter after dropping a duce. (good guys though).. hope they get some squared away guys that can endure and not comprimise anyhting

I remember having speaker teams on airfields, etc, and no issues there.

One JRTC rotation got a team with us on one of those hands across the training area, 3 day walks. not a typical team though. had an 18 series SFC and maybe a SGT. most teams were maybe a SGT and one or two guys. anyway, those two did fine and even offered to carry some gear if we needed to cross level. I tried to be polite when I refused, saying we were going to be traveling light. I think my ruck was only 50-60lbs on that one.

OK.... there's a enough MI Warrant Officers in the Regiment now they could form their own platoon....

Shit... Just because you turn batters are infested with the itch from VD drive doesn't mean you have to hate us cuz we got the better pussy... I think some of the anger is us stealing some of that pussy every year during RR too... its all good.. you can have the left over’s and seconds...
