From what I recall during the show, we can blame the French!
I didn't see all of it, but I recorded it to watch it in full. Seems modern Islamo-Terror factions have emulated the Irish from 1918-1921.
Another interesting program was on Nazi Guerilla activity AFTER V-E Day (which went on until late 1947).
I had heard that there had been some problems, but never read or seen anything about it. During de-nazification, some die-hard SS-Types and the "Werewolves" assassinated "collaborators" planted bombs, attacked US servicemen, etc. It was very informative, and worth watching if you see it on your listings.
