A few observations on tactics, firearms, self defense and life as we know it in the civilized world.

A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him, "Why do you carry a 45?" The Ranger responded, "Because they don't make a 46."

Old school thinking used to teach "fair fighting". There is no such thing. Someone is always, bigger, better, faster, stronger, meaner, smarter, ect, ect, ectfuckingcetera....

Stupidest rule I ever heard. You fight to win. If winning is killing. Cool. If winning is the other guy sucking oatmeal out of a straw 3 days later. Cool. And if he brings his fist and you beat him to snak pack status with a bat. Cool.

Now, bless you my children, go forth and fuck something or someone up.

I've always been told that "nothing worth fighting for is worth fighting fair for". Kinda goes hand in hand with "if you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin' ". Words to live by. Also, always remember that "no good deed goes unpunished". Not to day that you shouldn't always try to do the right thing, just be prepared for the eventuality that it will all go south on you at the worst possible moment.

It's advisable to look around any room you're in for improvised weapons, just in case. I've been watching the Bourne films over and over and over.....that character could kill you with a dirty piece of MRE toilet paper!
