A Mom's Intro

Post by psouper »

Hello Rangers.
I've been reading the boards since last fall when my son enlisted to follow his lifelong dream.
He processed into RIP this weekend and is looking forward to getting down to business at last.
My soldier is the eldest of five, the first to leave home, and we miss him dearly but are so proud of him.

I'm an old-school housewife and I milk a cow in the mornings - hence, the avatar of my favorite Jersey.

Howdy ma'am, I've milked a few Jersey's at 0430 in the morning before and I bet your son has too, that sort of work ethic will help'em for sure. We all hope he makes it and we'd like to thank you for raising a fine young American Warrior who isn't ashamed to represent our beloved Country and fight to preserve our way of life. May God bless him and your family as he embarks on his journey.

Always have a special place for Mom's of soldiers. You are indeed, welcome here and will find some kindred spirits in the ladies. Being brave and all is fine but Im sure the trepidation of having a youngin who you still consider your baby and now in pursuit of Ranger life....makes you some nervous. Need some shoulders...ask. Some mighty fine people here who have walked in your shoes, walked in your sons shoes, and know what you are feeling.

But one thing, Ma'am. Should your son reach the Rangers...he could not ever get with a better group of men, better trained, better skilled, and better prepared for life's ugly. In this...you should sleep well.

Welcome to ArmyRanger.com.

Thank you for raising a warrior and for supporting him along the way. It's a great AND bewildering task. You're off to a good start by joining this community.

See you 'round on the ladies side!
