If you enter SFAS with a proficiency in a certain language it can influence your group choices. You need to take the DLPT to do that. I don't know what the score is or how an 18x goes about that.

I think Robinson gets a bunch of shit wrong in Masters of Chaos. The best book, bar-none, and most current on the SFQC, SFAS, SOPC, etc has to be Chosen Soldier by Dick Couch.

When filling out your wish list, request this MOS in addition to your Group of choice. Note: if you don't wanna be commo, and you are stud enough to know you'll make the cut at the end of Selection no matter what, DO NOT do well when they test your aptitude for learning Morse Code.
Morse code is out as of last year or so. I'll double check that.

Thank you Rangers for all your replies and advice. I made my first trip to MEPS on Monday the 6th. Due to multiple surgeries on one of my shoulders I was told I had to return for a consultation with another doctor. The recruiter called today and told me my appointment has been set for this Friday at 5:30am.

As does your English. Your sentence should have started with "your" and not "you." :) And it's been a real long time ago for me.
