I'm a former Nasty Girl (Troop E 153rd Cav Regiment 53rd Inf Brigade) currently on the IRR working on an 11x Option 40 reenlistment. Came to realize whilst in the civilian world that life on a couch was driving me crazy. I missed the Army and earlier this year walked into my local recruiting station to get the paper work started.

53rd is in FL isn't it?

53d is, in fact, in FL. Light infantry brigade, no tracked vehicles. Loved my time with the 153d Cav, high speed professionals (as high speed as the Guard can get).

:D I agree after the royal screw job they've given me trying to get back in. They lost everything in my OMPF except for my NGB 22 and Separation Orders. But I'm not going to be denied my shot. I've probably logged 50 hours on the phone tracking all my crap down, but I finally got the last piece of paperwork in from Florida yesterday and my packet's gone up to USAREC. We'll see what happens.

This I know. My recruiter and I are racing against time on this one. As soon as the packet comes back with the green light, I'm making him take me to MEPS and then it's all about convincing the liaison that he should give me the 11x Opt 40.

I'll let you know how it goes. Should hear my Friday on the packet.
