I got my facts straight!?

Post by hellrazr »

From what I have gathered, since I don't Q for an 11X opt 40, (because of moral waiver), my only option is: Enlist as 11X, thus this will get me all the way through BAC; If the option of Ranger school is given I would and should 'jump' on it; as this is one less check for my ass to have to write/cash later on. Due to the waiver, I would have to have been deployed at least once and have had distinguishable service.? (All the while, every free chance I get p.t. my fukn ass off!!)Then when my re-enlistment is due, apply for the op. 40 w/ a minimum of a four yr. contract.? Are my gatherings a GO?

there is a difference between attending Ranger school, and service in the Ranger Regiment.

an 11X contract alone will not get you to or through Airborne school. there is another option for Airborne to guarantee attendance there.

do some more research.

If the Ranger recruiter come around looking for volunteers while you're in basic, be the first one in line. The same holds true for Airborne school should you get the opportunity to go there after basic.

Roger that Ranger KW Driver you are referring to the opt. 4.. And Ranger School only gives you the chance to wear a tab, while RIP offers Reg't.

I thank both, you and Rangerguru

If you cannot get an Option 40 (Ranger) contract, get an Option 4 (Airborne). It will get you closer to your goal. Then be the best soldier in everything you do.
