Nope, not that I know of, no metal in my knee. Had some put in my hand after I got out, but that's another story.601reece80 wrote:Ranger panthersix, I am a 6'4 240 pound tight end machine lol, but I wanna pursue my dream of the ranger tab alot more than I wanna play for a college and end up having some linebacker come at me from the side and take my knee out again. Did you have any metal hardware put in your leg when they fixed the ligaments? I hear that has a lot to do with if you pass a physical, but they say it'll be OK if the hardware was just put in to help the ligament grow to the bone and that it serves no purpose being in there now.
I would recommend that you stop worrying about something that has yet to materialize and enjoy your last bit of time in high school. Concentrate on what you have to do today to make your knee stronger in a controlled manner. It'll happen if you follow the directions of your physical therapist.
Once you get through next Football season and the holidays, start training for your enlistment. Till then, one challenge at a time, meaning rehab the knee, get ready for football, play football, enjoy the holidays, then finish up HS while training for Basic. So focus on the knee and quit worrying so much, shoot, you're beginning to make me anxious!
