The Sirius/XM merger officially sucks ass and the only channel I listened to has changed some. That would be channel 27, the change is subtle but there, I mean really how hard can a channel be that’s called liquid metal. But one band that I have been listening to is The Sword, I guess now we have retro metal. Its old school doom and gloom, the plus is I haven’t picked up any whiny anti US political vibe, which is really starting to irk me.

The other CD I just picked up was Satyricon, The Age of Nero. I don’t usually dig black metal, but these guys got some cool toons, if you like metal

K.I.N.G and Black Crow aren’t to shabby

Two more old school that rotate through my play list quite abit.

Once they started the whole new genre of Viking Metal, they really came into their own.

These guys have been gone for quite a while but were just fucking nuts

I've got a mix, but I'm enjoying the soothing tones of the "Gentle Giant" right now ... Mr. Don Williams.

Couldn't agree more. Plus my satellite connection keeps getting bumped and my channel list changes daily. What a POS this merger has made an otherwise perfectly fine service. I wish I'd be able to just go back to XM.

what's currently in the car:

Morphine, Good and Yes
Gogol Bordello, Gypsy Punk
Drive-By Truckers, Decoration Day
Hayes Carll, Trouble in Mind and some of Flowers and Liquor
Flogging Molly, Swagger and some Whiskey on a Sunday
Jane's Addiction
Flying Burrito Brothers
Gourds, Haymaker!
GE Smith and the Saturday Night Live Band (the old blues/horns band). GE Smith has some sick, sick licks.

I need to upgrade my radio so I can play my Ipod and be done with it. I gave up on XM years ago.

but for those who don't know it, Internet Archive has thousands of live recordings. anyone who allows live concert recordings can be found on there.
