Airborn Graduation, RIP Sign in.

Post by Hairy »

Today we graduated Airorne School. I definitely conquered my fear of heights. Jumping was amazing, even when I hit the ground like a bag of hammers.
Tomorrow, we get picked up for RIP and sign in. Unsure of what time. All I know is we get released at the latest Saturday morning at 1000 hours for Christmas Exodus. January 5th RIP starts and the first of many trials begins. I've been waiting for to long for this chance to let 16 days of freedom throw me off. PT is going to take priority. Looking forward to making my own luck and earning the Scroll and Tan Beret.
Ship date: 20080730.

I thought classes got picked up the day you graduate Airborne? (we did, anyway..) How lame is that! Make sure you go out drinkin good and late tonight with your Airborne buddies to celebrate! Don't worry, the RIP cadre will cut you some slack on the first day if you are a bit hung over...

Yeah, that 'next day RIP' thing kind of dampens the effect. Oh well. Congrats on earning your wings. Onward to the next OBJ. You're doing fine so far.

You got some very good advice here. Get out and PT every day during the break. First day back is when they cull the herd. Don't let it happen to you. Never, never quit!

It would be in your best interest to PT your ass off while on leave. Enjoy your time off but keep your head in the game. You've set goals for yourself, you need to achieve them. Work on push ups and run your ass off even if you think your a stud. Good luck dude.
