Post by Herbz »

Rangers,

Hello, My name is Nick. I am 16 years old and a sophmore in a Minnesota High School. I have been looking into the Army and the Air Force for years. I now know what I want to do, and it is to serve this wonderful country like all of you Rangers do. I will be signing an 11/opt 40 contract after I complete High School. I hope to one day join the ranks of being a Ranger and serve with you and learn from your experience.

I have seen a few people post their PT results so I might as well post mine.
(I know I have alot of work to do)

40 Push Ups
84 Sit Ups
6:53 (This is 1-mile, I haven't ran in ahwhile, this is from ~3months ago)
15 Pull-Ups

I know this is not a complete PT test and I will be running and working out alot with the 2 years I have. I appreciate any tips and/or critiscm you Rangers can offer me.

Thanks for reading my Intro, and I thank all of the Rangers for what they do for this country.

Welcome Nick

You have some time before you will make a final decision on your military endeavours. Just enough time to read and learn from all of the posts here.

Read and search before you ask.

Good intro. It is nice to see a young man who can actually complete sentences. Good luck and never quit.

Nick, a man has only one opportunity to make a favorable initial impression. So far, you appear to be doing well. If you truly want to earn a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment, you came to the right site. Read all the FAQs, as well as selected stickies and threads. The search feature is your friend, there are few questions that have not been addressed here at one time or another. Continue to work on your physical fitness and you will do well. Never, never quit.

Welcome to the site. You have a couple years to really prepare yourself, research all of this, and decide if it's really what you want to do. You came to the right place to do that.
