Hello,
My name is PFC Snackmachine. I am a 68w who is in m6(lpn) school at DDEAMC Ft Gordon. My main purpose for joining the site is that when I graduate from the course in June I am scheduled to attend airborne and then RIP. I would like to learn as much as possible from the soldiers on this site and look forward to having the chance to possibly serve with some great NCOs and officers in the regiment.

Welcome and best of luck in reaching your goal as a Ranger medic. Good luck means being prepared and having the opportunity. You have the opportunity and being prepared is up to you. Spend some time in the About RIP and Airborne forums. For PT, see the Physical Fitness forum.
WE NEED MORE RANGERS!

Ummm...wait a second.
You may want to check your information young one.
There are no M6 positions in the Regiment. You may want to contact the right people. Check a seperate post entitled "Ranger Recruiting & Training" in the medical issues area.

Thanks for the suggestion RngrDoc, I am aware of this situation. I have read that there are no m6 positions in the Regiment. It must have been overlooked somehow as option 40 was not in my contract. I recieved a recommendation from a Drill SGT in basic. Any idea of how this would work out? I do realise that if I make it to Regiment I would not be filling an M6 position.
I have not been able to hire any M6 personnel in the past as you are not the first to have the Ranger desire. Do you have a set of orders already that specifically say you are coming to RIP?
Recommend you send a message to 75recruit@soc.mil That will put you in contact with me officially and we can work this out.
There is also the fact that attending the SOCM course will give you a new ASI (W1) that will conflict your other ASI of M6. You can be qualified for multiple ASIs, but there is obligation timeframes after attaining each one.
