Little worried about my option 40

Post by Kro538 »

Ill give a little on my backround, so bare with me. Im 21, spent two years at a Hargrave Military academy and 1 year college with ROTC. Whole life I wanted to do something withing the special ops. And I know 75th would be no greater of a home for me till Im ready for Special Forces. I scored well on ASVAB, am in good shape, highly motivated, and a good Christian. One problem....

The only damn MOS with an option 40 was a fucking 88M. I turned it down innitially because I wanna knock down the doors and be behind the trigger. However some Ranger friends of the family that I talked to said it may not be a bad thing and most of the time Ill be driving the brass. Also if I show initiative ill go to evasive driving schools. I see that as a good skill to have. Otherwise Im kinda dissapointed I took it at this point, but Im trying to stay positive. Because theirs no real saying what I will do.

So Im here to ask my future Ranger brothers (I will be one) what they know about working with 88M Rangers on all fields weither overseas or on base. Even if Im trying to stay positive, don't sugar coat a damn thing. And thanks for taking your time to read my concerns.

Sincerly, Langille B.

#1-Go post an intro in the appropriate area before posting anything else.

#2-Don't post your full name in the open again.

#3-Hold out for what you want. Eventually, you will get it. It's a sellers market.

That is all.. (how is that for not sugar coating it?..)

Yeah, let me know how that works out for you.

That's a bold fucking statement. You cannot even fathom what it takes to get to the Regiment. YOU are not my brother and do not have the fucking right to even insinuate it.

I can appreciate the fact that you are motivated to become an Airborne Ranger, but pull that shit again and bye bye.
