I think she held her own. That was enough to get a Go at the station. This election is the Democrats' to lose.

I think she did well. I was a little surprised at Biden, he's usually a LOT more the "attack dog" and seemed to be holding back. It cost him the debate.

And I agree with Jim, McCain/Palin are going to have to pull a couple of rabbitts out of the hat to win.

It's redundant but during the VP debate they're supposed to talk about the Presidential candidates, since VP's don't make policy or decisions. It's just a chance for everyone to see who will take over the country if something happens to the Prez.
Correct. They are supposed to be the 'attack dog' for the POTUS candidates.

Heck yeah! Absolutely.

I felt she indeed was able to firmly hold her ground. She did not falter at all. During the beginning, she seemed a little nervous, but 15 minutes into the debate, Biden was already being forced to defend Obama. Biden's mistake was definitely playing "nice-guy". He forced them to be equals. But, on the other hand, had he eaten her alive and played his usual dirty politics, the public wouldn't have had it. I feel it would have damaged the dems more than helped them, regardless of what points he made... the feminist/Hil supporter vote would have especially been affected.

One thing I noticed, though, was that Biden often brought up his own policies and experience.. I mean, I know it was the VP debate and they're supposed to talk about themselves, but it was his main focus. He always said "I" this "I" that, instead of "we" as in him and Obama. I think it'd almost make more sense if Biden was running for president and Obama was his running mate. But he's not.

She does have nice lips. I didnt think she did great however, she didnt come across as a complete dumb shit. Biden was polite and forceful, appealed to a liberal mind set and walked away having done no damage. The media decided this election a longtime ago.

Expectations for her were pretty low but she did better than expected. She is a good public speaker with an excellent ability to connect with the audience. If she knew something about government, world politics, etc she would be a formable candidate. Interesting technique to ignore the question (Quote, "I may not answer the questions you ask") and just talk in generalities. Oh yeah, you have to say, "Maverick." here and there too. She is well on the road to becoming a real politician. She is not ready for primetime now, but give her a couple of years. We will see more of her in the future even if McCain does not win the white house.

I'd say Biden was on his best behavior. He caught it when she referred to the U.S. commander Gen. David McKiernan (the US General in charge in Afghanistan ) as General McClellan (civil war general and want-a-be presidential contender). If you watch video replay, you'll see him smile right after she says it.

Biden's responses were more specific and her's more general. I think his last response was probably the best, a good summary. Her saying, "there you go again Joe, looking backward" was good technique but Biden could have easily crush that by hammering on McCains 90% voting alignment with Bush and then saying McCain/Palin will be more of the same. There was a time when McCain was a real maverick but to land the republician nomination he had to check those credentials at the door.

You know I really wonder why the hell anyone would want to be president given the future economic outlook. Bush proves the saying anyone can grow up to be president to is true. Pailin could prove anyone can grow up and be VP but my money is on Obama/Biden.
