How many guys here like "The Unit"? It is my favorite show. Only because I am sick of the reality shows and cop shows and medical shows. I've had people ask me (since I was in the Army) if the show is accurate and really represents how the SOF operates and I tell them that I don't know but that I seriously doubt it. I am a nurse and can tell you that most of the shit you see in the medical shows that happen in the hospital are bullshit. I just like the show because it is different. I think it's the only show on now that deals with the military as is not anti-war. I may be wrong though because I don't watch much TV.

I watched the show last night and I enjoyed it. Do I think it could really happen....not. But it was entertaining.

the Sarah Conner chronicles. I got hooked on that show during the first season and I think it's awesome.

I like SCC too.

The Unit is a bunch of PC BS. They added a woman in the season opener.

I was pissed they added a chick too but you know like I said its an entertaining show. The problem with most of us that served is that you have to seperate what you know as real and take it for what it is...a good show and thats all. I like the Sarah Connors Chronicles too.

I like the show, and will generally watch anything with a military flair. It's definitely for entertainment as much of the content seems somewhat exaggerated.

SOF responding directly to an immediate attack on the POTUS-Elect on US soil? Plausible, but I would assume another agency would be more directly situated (or tasked) to respond.

Still, good entertainment and beats all the staged "Reality" shows littering the airwaves.

I tried to watch the unit on AFN over here and from what I saw, the women run the unit and nobody seems to have any OPSEC training. I could only get through about half an episode.

Ditto.

I watched the final half of an episode sometime last season. Thought it was gay. Haven't watched it since.

Watch HBO's "The Wire".

Probably the best show in the last five years. Close second would be Rome. Then "The Sopranos".

I thought Rome was pretty good, they didnt sugarcoat it very much. I havent watch any of the other shows mentioned. Rome is on dvd.
