Hello Rangers.
Here is the SITREP. I went to MEPS on Thursday. I did great on all the physical. I ones across the board except for eyes, I got a 2 eyes. But then the doctor said I had to get the paperwork from the ER and the doctor from when my jaw was broken. So I could not get a contract, I am going to have to wait =( I went to the hospital and got the information from them but am going to have to do a few things in order to get the records from the doctor.

One more thing.... Ranger Bravo57 and someone else told you not to settle for anything less than an OPT 40. I was told there was no Ranger Medic slots, it was either go medic, with an airborne contract, or go infantry, with an OPT 40. Clearly, I chose infantry. I highly recommend going the medic route. You do ALL the same shit the infantry does, and then some. Just make SURE you get an OPT 40. Where are you from?kh628 wrote:Thanks for the push up advice Ranger RTO and thanks for the other advice from the rest of you Rangers. Once I get back from MEPS I will give an update on whats going on.
Thanks again to all of you Rangers, this site is a wealth of knowledge.

Ranger 375, I understand what you are saying and thanks for the advice but I am not looking to go Medic any longer. I wanted 13f but you need all 1's on your physical and I got a 2 in my eyes because i wear glasses. So now i think I am going to go 19D, pretty much the same thing. And I am from NJ, why do you ask?
I go back to MEPS next weekend so after that I will give another SITREP. I am settling for nothing less than 19D opt40.
Thanks to all you Rangers.

You can get a waiver. You need to be firm with the recruiters. Ask for any job that you can qualify for with an Option 40, write them down and do some research on each MOS. This will help you in deciding which one to pick.
